Jonathan Russell McCravey, Sr. affectionately known to his many family and friends as "Busta" departed his life on Monday, September 12 at his residence.

Jonathan was born on April 23, 1966. He attended Winston Salem Forsyth County Public Schools, graduating from North Forsyth Senior High School in 1984. After High School, he served in the United States Army. He was a local salesman for years and was the co-owner of NC Secure Trucking Company. Jonathan was a loving son, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, watching football, and hanging out with all his family and friends.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Rucker, his loving sons Jonathan R. McCravey, Jr. and Justin R. McCravey, his maternal aunts Lenora "Pie" Alston, and Mary "Sing" Alston, and a cousin, Craig Alston.

He leaves to cherish his memories and life his loving son Joshua R. McCravey and (his mother Tiffany McCravey). His father Mr. Johnny McCravey of Winston-Salem, NC. His four granddaughters Jamya, Jaxton, Ja'lah, and Jacy McCravey (their grandmother Tracy Scales). A loving stepfather, Lawrence Rucker, a devoted maternal aunt, Joann (William) Johnson, along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held 4:30pm Friday September 23, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm-4:30pm Friday at the funeral home.
