Mr. Joseph Ford born to the late Shelly and Nannie Ford on December 19, 1939 in Lakeview, SC departed his earthly life on March 29, 2024.

Joseph and his wife relocated to Winston-Salem, NC in the early 60's where they chose to rear their family.

Joseph "Pig" Ford was an incredible gardener in which he looked forward to providing lots of home grown vegetables to his community each year.

He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Senater McIntyre, Ernestine Ford, Lula Mae Adair, Juanita Worthy, Rufus Ford, Shelly "Billy" Ford, Albert "Sonny" Ford; two children, Tamela Teresa "Quinn" Ford and Shelia Denise Ford.

He leaves cherished memories to his six children, Laverne, Pamela, Mary and April Ford all of Winston-Salem, NC, Joseph L. Ford of Kernersville, NC and Richard Ford of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Adrian (Jennifer) Ford, Antonio(Tiesha) Ford, Johnathan (Jessica) Lloyd, Anthony Ford, Joseph S. Ford, Jessica(Andrew) Grant, Roslyn Ford and Myan West; eight great grandchildren, Sonjay Ford, Carter Ford, Antonio Ford Jr., Aidan Ford, Asher Ford, Jayceon and Kalem Lloyd and Aria Ford; two devoted relatives, George(Josephine) Townsend and Reginald(Veronica) Ford; other relatives and friends.

Joseph's children would like to give a special thank you to I.L. Long Construction Co., Win and Rob Welch and the Welch family for their unwavering support and care in which they had for our father.

A special thank you to Sr. Pastor L.B. Ford and Beulah Baptist Church, his home church and his church family for providing a space for our father to worship, all of your prayers, condolences and guidance through this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held 12:30pm Thursday April 11,2024 at Beulah Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12pm-12:30pm Thursday at the church. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
