With profound sadness, the family of Joseph Eugene Harris, age 81, of Winston Salem, NC announces his passing on February 10, 2026.

Joseph was born on June 17, 1944, in Union County, SC. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He retired from the City of Winston Salem. He was known for his kindness and generosity.

He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Steele.

He is survived by his spouse Sharon Jennings and sister Donna Steele.
