Mr. Joseph S. Wolfe, affectionately known as Joe, was born November 28, 1944 in Winston-Salem, NC to John W. and  Lela Dendy Wolfe. He was a graduate of Paisley High School.  Mr. Wolfe was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He loved to sing and play pool. He was a Blue Bird Cab driver for 18 years. Mr. Wolfe was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phillip, John Jr. and Alfred Wolfe; sister, Gloria Brown Hemphill.

He departed this life Saturday September 14, 2019 at his residence.

Survivors include his children; Alisa Wolfe (Pastor Andre) Finkley, Jennifer Wolfe, and Joseph(Latonya) Clemmons  all of the city; one grandson, Billy Carter Jr.; two brothers Richard B. (Doris) Wolfe and Daniel L. (Zelma) Wolfe; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday September 21, 2019 at Global Restoration Center, 3501 Thomasville Road Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00 pm Saturday at the church.
