Obituary

On Monday, June 27, 2022, God sent an angel to beckon His child home. With her loving family by her side, Juanita Glenn Peoples transitioned to her home on high. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC on March 30, 1940, to Colonel and Juanita Cuthrell Glenn, who preceded her in death. She was a product of Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.
She was a member Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where she directed the Senior Choir and was crowned "Mrs. Second Calvary." She was a security guard with Budd Services.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Cynthia Carter and Sharon Poth. She leaves to cherish many fond memories, her children, Richard (Karen) Peoples, Jr., Darrell Peoples, Christal (Jimmy) Thomas, Daionne (Bishop) Tomlin, Michael Johnson, Timothy Rose; grandchildren; Antonious Peoples, Chris Peoples, Michael (Pockets) Peoples Montgomery, Cinita Wilson, Tralena Carter, LaKaysha Montgomery, Shuntiya Peoples, Talisha Peoples, Lakisha Stewart, Mashika Rhodes, and Tawkeya Wilson; his brother, Earl Rose; a special great granddaughter, Alexious Peoples and a special nephew, John Wesley Davis; 27 great-grandchildren, a special niece, Angela Farabee, a devoted friend, Linda Winchester and many other relatives and friends.
Her loving, kind and generous spirit afforded her the opportunity to be a mother-figure to many children in the community, too numerous to name. She loved the Lord and she loved people.
