Mr. Julius E. Peoples, 77 was born May 5, 1948 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late James L. Crowder and Lucille Rice. He departed this life peacefully on October 31, 2025 at his residence. Julius attended Anderson High School and Job Corps to finish high school and receive a welding certification.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Julius believed that family was an important aspect of life no matter where one came from. He was a pillar to all who knew him and was the foundation of love, support, and nurtured those he helped along the way.

In addition to his father, Julius was preceded in death by his grandmother, aunt; brothers, Michael Rice and James L. Galloway; grandparents, Emma and Rush Crowder; and his best friend, Victor Taylor.

Survivors include his loving wife of the home, Angela C. Peoples; his mother, Lucille Rice; three sons, Patrick McDaniel, William T. Fortune, lll (Twila), and Corey Simmons; seven daughters, Erica Wilson, Ozetta Peoples, Marsha Peoples, Marian White (Christopher), Sara Peoples (Charles), LaTrivia Fortune, and JaNina Peoples (Tequa); two sisters, Earline McCoy and Jackie Peoples; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Clarence Jones (Diane), Early Jones, Bernard Jones (Debbie Roebuck), Daine McKay, George Mckay, Andrew Jones (Angela), and Isaac McKay; sisters-in-law, Alicia M. Jones, Carolyn Carter, and Nani Elliott; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday November 8, 2025 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:30 pm-4:00 pm on Saturday. His remains may be viewed Friday November 7, 2025 from 12pm-5pm at the funeral home.
