Kattie Mae Cox Abram  was born to Hector Cox Sr and Jeannette Lide Cox in  Dillon South Carolina on March 8, 1940. She departed this life on Tuesday March 10, 2026 at her home.

Kattie retired from Aramark Company in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbert Abram,daughter Sheila Abram Tyson, one brother, Hector Cox Jr. and  three sisters Catherine Ramsey, Mae Alice Braddy and Jessie Gadson.

She leaves cherished and  loving memories to her three  daughters, Brenda Chandler of Texas, Janice Abram of Winston-Salem, and Ilda Graham (Gaston) of Winston-Salem;  two sons, Wilbert Abram Jr. ( (Kimberley) of Texas, and Christopher Abram of Winston-Salem; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Randolph of New Jersey and Bobbie Roberts of Winston-Salem; a special devoted friend, O'Neal Thompson of Winston-Salem; and a host of other relatives and friends

Graveside services will he held at 1:00 pm Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. There will be no public viewing.
