Kevin Christopher Banks was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Luther Darnell Banks and Sandra Marshall Banks. He attended the public schools, Rural Hall Elementary, Mineral Springs Middle and Carver High. At the age of sixteen he was accepted to the Bard College at Simon's Rock, Great Barrington Massachusetts. He majored in Biology with high focus on Botany and Environmental Science. He continued his education in San Francisco and later transferred to Gardner Webb University, Boiling Springs North Carolina when his father became very ill. There he received a degree in Photo Journalism. He started his career as an employee and model for Jeremy's in San Francisco and ended his career as a Manager at a local Banana Republic in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Kevin was a devoted son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. His passion in life was music and computers. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew and loved him. He departed this life Wednesday January 15, 2020.

Kevin is survived by mother, Sandra Marshall Banks; brother, Victor Alexander Banks; grandmother Viola Lyons Marshall; uncle Duane Marshall; and a host of other cousins, dedicated family members, friends, including his beloved play mother, Louella McGee.

The family will receive friends Saturday January 25, 2020 from 2-2:30 pm at Hooper Funeral Home, 1415 14th Street, NE, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:30 pm in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home, Family and friends will meet after services at 849 Laverton Lane, Rural Hall, North Carolina.
