Obituary

A Beautiful Life to Remember

In the early morning of Thursday, December 23 rd , 2021 God dispatched his angels to retrieve the precious spirit of Ms. LaKaticia Renetta Jackson.

LaKaticia was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, January 15 th , 1980 to the late Thomas and Werenella Jackson.

She was a proud Carver Yellow Jacket, and a graduate of the Class of 1998.

LaKaticia furthered her education by attending Forsyth Technical Community College studying Early Childhood Education. She loved children, and had a natural passion for teaching and molding young minds.

LaKaticia was the former Co-director of Preferred Early Childhood Daycare, and former teacher at Childcare Network. She loved working with children, and worked in the childcare industry for over 10 years.

LaKaticia's true passion was to become a hair stylist, so she enrolled, and graduated from Carolina Beauty College. She was a licensed natural hair stylist. She developed an expertise in hair design, and she loved hair and beauty. LaKaticia had a God-given natural talent to make others feel and look beautiful.

LaKaticia was a beautiful soul. She was a loving daughter, amazing sister, loving "cool" auntie, a true, genuine, and loyal friend. To know her was to love her. She left us far too soon, but for the short time God loaned her to us, she definitely touched so many people's lives, and has truly left a lasting imprint on us all.

LaKaticia was preceded in death by her loving and wonderful parents Thomas and Werenella Jackson, maternal grandmother Ruthie

Mae Eury, paternal grandparents Mildred Ferguson Shuler and Thomas T. Jackson.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memories; her loving brother Thomas Mark Jackson of the city, loving and devoted sister Danielle S. Townes, of Greensboro, NC; two loving nephews Chase Albert Jackson of the city, and her "nephewson" Edward Mosely Townes V of Greensboro, NC; two aunts Edna Jackson Glenn, of the city and Virginia Deese Haywood of Greensboro, NC; devoted cousin Johnnie Mae Shoffner-Graves (Jared); Best friend Sonna Williams-Livenere(John); Godson Jackson Williams-Livenere; devoted family/friends Kamisah McFadden, Mildred McFadden, Catina Daniels- Knotts(Jerry), Sherrial Faucette-Durham(Herman), and the Townes Family; and a host of other relatives, cousins, and many friends.
