Mr. Lanny McDaniel Taylor was born to Daisy Bowles and James Kenneth Taylor on June 13, 1972. He departed this early life on Thursday February 24, 2022. He received Christ at an early age.

Lanny leaves to cherish his memories by his three siblings James, Karen, and Sabrina Taylor. He was a devoted man to many. He was a man of family that leaves behind his mother, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Lanny was one who loved hard not only for his family and friends, but the Cowboys. He was a true fan and never missed a game. Growing up Lanny was an uncle who would greet you with a warm hug. The uncle who would give you $3 just because. If you know like we know, you could get a bag full of snacks with $3 at the corner store or candy house. Lanny was a man who saw everyone as his niece and nephew, rather he knew your government name or not. If he followed you on Facebook, surely, he tagged himself in at least one photo of yours.

He was a man who loved his city, always full of laughter, and would make you crack a smile. He will be fondly remembered by us all.

A service of memory will be held Friday March 4, 2022 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. There will be no public viewing.
