Mr. Larry Dwight Fletcher, Sr. was born August 14, 1946 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Russell Lee and Mattie Curry Fletcher. He attended the Winston Salem Forsyth county public schools and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. Spiritually, he was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. After 34 years of services, Mr. Fletcher retired from Roadway Trucking Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Arnize F. Clark, Wanda Fletcher and a brother, Harvey "Glendale"  Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher departed this life Tuesday August 11, 2020 at his residence.

He is survived by two sons, Larry D. Fletcher, Jr. of Columbus, OH and Zachary "Pete" Fletcher of Winston-Salem, NC; one daughter. MyLinda Fletcher of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren; three stepdaughters; one stepson; one brother, Charles (Connie) Fletcher Sr.; one sister, Loretta Fletcher; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a devoted friend, Danny Blue .

Mr. Fletcher's remains will lie in repose from 12 Noon until 6pm Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Hooper Funeral Home. After a private ceremony honoring his life and memory, Mr. Fletcher will be interred in Salisbury National Cemetery.
