Lewun M.
Mckoy
Jan 11, 1993 — May 21, 2021
On May 21, 2021, LeWun MonTrai McKoy, Sr., 28, affectionately known as Wun, gained his heavenly crown.
Wun was born January 11, 1993, in Winston-Salem, NC, to Delander "Dee" McKoy and Lynwood "Bernard" Austin, Jr.
He was a graduate of Carver High school, class of 2012. Lewun was employed at Securitas as a security guard and was admired by his colleagues.
Wun was very active in sports and many other things. Throughout his adolescent years, he played football for Pop Warner-Youth League. He also was a part of the Winston-Salem Boy Scouts and Mo' Lucas Steppers. Wun had a heart of gold, and he loved hard. He was the hype man of any gathering.
Most importantly, he loved his family. He was a proud father who LOVED his boys. LeWun developed his own relationship with GOD, and he felt the most important relationship to have with Christ is an authentic one. Wun loved Kirk Franklin, and you could find him at any moment dancing to his music, motivating everyone to dance, saying, "Let's GO, BRUH." That's just the type of joyful atmosphere he'd set in any room.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Carol A. Hatten McKoy, and Great Grandmother, Lucy Webster, whom he loved dearly.
