Ms. Lora Paulette Hite was born February 19, 1955 to the late Clarence and Annie Ruth Wooten Thompson in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  She was a 1973 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. Ms. Hite proudly served for 20 years in the United States Air Force. She was also a former employee of the Department  of  Defense in Maryland for over seventeen years.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy LaGrant,Reginald Edward and one sister, Louise T. Kittrell.

Ms. Hite departed this life Saturday September 28, 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC.

She is survived by her daughter, Elisia (Chavis) Lipscomb; one granddaughter, Brianna Barnes; one grandson, Isaiah Barnes all of the home; two sisters, Lillie (George) McKeathen of High Point, NC and Betty Thompson of Goldsboro, NC; one brother Clarence (Hazel) Thompson of LaGrange, NC; four aunts, Pauline Wooten, Esther Thompson, Edna Faison and Mary Thompson; one uncle Nathan Thompson; one brother-in-law Frederick Kittrell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation period will be held Wednesday evening October 2, 2019  from 6-8 pm at Atkinson Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment  services will be held at 12 noon Thursday October 3, 2019 at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery
