Lucille Bradley Smith was born September 4, 1938 in Bishopville, South Carolina to Deacon Paul and Mary Marshall Bradley. She transitioned on Monday October 26, 202 at Oak Forest Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was a nanny to the Blum family in New York, NY to Jennifer, Tommy and Steve Blum. She moved to Winston-Salem in 2001 and was a resident of Azalea Terrace Court Apartment. Spiritually, she was a member of Nehemiah Worship Center in Winston-Salem under the leadership of Pastor Paul Thombs until her health began to fail.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, spouse Ed Willis Smith Jr.; grandson, Dedrick Bradley; son-in-law, James Byrd Jr.; four brothers James. Paul, Laddie, Elijah Anthony Bradley; five sisters, Rosa Lee Grant, Hannie Mae Bradley Reid, Mary Makin, Diane B. Tanks and Mattie B. Burroughs.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories a daughter, Pamela Bradley Byrd; one sister, Minister Arzaia Bradley Thomas; two god grandchildren, Marsha Peoples and ShaCoya Johnson; five god great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Constance Bradley, Mary H. Bradley both of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary C. Bradley of Upper Marlboro, MD and Cornelia Bradley of Charlotte, NC; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
