Lynda Sharron Smoot, affectionately known as Punky, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 22, 2025. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, with an infectious laugh that could brighten anyone's day. Born on June 25, 1955, Lynda was the second of four children to Walter Little Sr. and Vivian Williams.

Lynda spent much of her career in nursing, caring for those in need. In 1973, she met the love of her life, William Smoot. Young and in love, they married in 1975, sharing 49 wonderful years together, continually inspiring each other to grow throughout their marriage. They raised four amazing children.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Little Sr. and Vivian Williams.

She is survived by her stepfather, David Williams; her beloved husband, William Smoot, and their four children: Chakema Clinton-Quintana (Rick), Channa Proctor (Anthony), Tanicka Judd (Andre), and William Little. She is also survived by her siblings: Walter T. Little, Devera Owens(Terry),  Darryl Little (Denise), David Williams (Niecy), Leonard Abadullah (Shirley), Kechan Striker (Michael), Kevin Williams, and Kaye Williams-Vernon (Sam). Lynda leaves behind eight grandchildren: Cecoye' Johnson (Brittany), Jasmine Wiley (Wesley), Justin Williams, Jalen Smalls (Autumn), Jarion Wiley, Nazia Little, Devin Judd, and Brian Little; eleven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives whom she loved and adored.

The family extends a special thank you to Hospice for the unmatched care and support, to in-laws Kenneth Smoot (Kim), Leslie McLaurin (Curtis), Thomas Smoot, and beloved best friend Sylvia Connor for their generous care and support to the family.

Per her request, there will be no formal funeral service.
