Obituary

On Sunday June 23, 2024, the angel of God whispered to Marian, come now and take your rest.  Marian was born May 16, 1935 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Clifton and Louise Hauser.  She attended Atkins High School.

At the age of 20, Marian moved to Spring Valley, (Rockland County) New York.  She worked at the Rockland Psychiatric Center where she met and married the love of her life, David "Buster" Sanders. That union blessed them with five children.

Spiritually, she was a long time and faithful member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church where she served as an usher, helped with the food pantry, Grief Care  and Hospitality  ministries. She was also a member of the Saint Paul United Women in Faith. In the community, she was a member of Beauty of the West #36 Order of the Eastern Star PHA.

Marian was known for her love of good down home cooking and sharing with families and friends. She had a great sense of humor that always made others laugh. It was a pleasure to sit at her table in her presence. Her favorite past times were gardening, cooking, traveling, playing social games with family and friends. She also enjoyed an occasional visit to the casinos.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David "Buster" L. Sanders; a son, Michael D. Hauser; four sisters, Mildred Hauser, Doris Wilkins, Ellen Johnson and Madge Moore.

Marian leaves cherished memories to her children, Cassandra Sanders(Delton), David K. Sanders(Joan), Michelle Sanders, Robert "Duke" Sanders(Teresa) and Tanitra Sanders; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her church family.
