Mrs. Mary Lena Boston Spencer peacefully transitioned from this life Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her residence. Born to the late Elmo Boston and Essie Mae Wasson in Winston Salem, NC, she was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Spencer; two sons, Hildred L. Boston and Timothy Boston; a granddaughter, Angela R. Jeter; one great granddaughter, Amori Boston.

Left to cherish fond memories are six daughters, four sons, a step-daughter, two step-sons, one sister, and a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 12 Noon Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with funeral services following at 1pm. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
