Mary Hazel Carter was called home to meet her personal savior. She passed away peacefully at home with her family, August 6, 2023.

Mary was survived by her four children, Tondalaya, Tia, Rico, and Tonka, all of the city; one sister, Emma Neal Varner of Jacksonville, Fl; other relatives and friends. Mary's most precious thing in life was her family of whom she raised with her husband of over 50 years, Harold, until his death. Mary will be greatly missed and not forgotten.

Funeral services will be conducted 9am Wednesday, August 16th at Christ Temple CME Church with interment following in Salisbury National Cemetery.
