Maxine Dolores Williams McNeill passed away on March 20, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Ivo Blackmon Williams and Mrs. Betty Maxine Carter Williams.

Maxine attended John W. Paisley High School before furthering her academic studies at Bennett College.  A former employee of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Maxine was also a Nationally Certified Notary Public and a member of the National Notary Association. She will forever be known for her love of nature and passion for plants as a Master Gardener.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Dolores Hill; two grandchildren, Dominique Hill and Dior Richmond; a brother, Raymond Williams (Adrienne); a nephew, Lawrence Williams; a niece, Debra Williams; a great-niece, Nia Williams; a beloved great-aunt, Lillian Blackmon; and a host of cousins and other relatives from the Carter and Blackmon families.

A Service of Memory will be held 1:00pm Saturday April 6, 2024 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
