Mr. Melvin Denard Glenn was born August 8, 1955 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Doris Jacqueline Glenn. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. Spiritually, Mr. Glenn was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church where he served on the usher board. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Lee Glenn, Ronald Nathaniel Glenn; aunt Ernestine Elizabeth Glenn. Mr. Glenn departed this life Monday February 3, 2020 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Survivors include two sisters, Priscilla (Willie) Parker of Winston-Salem, NC, Wanda (Donald ) Coley, Kernersville, NC; four nephews, Patrick Glenn of Winston-Salem, NC, Javon Johnson, New York, NY, Harold(LaDonna) Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, Terrell Johnson of Texas; a devoted cousin, Carolyn Glenn (Bernard) Richardson, Winston-Salem, NC; a devoted friend, Landis "Pokey" Kimbrough Jr.; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 am Saturday February 15, 2020 at First Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11-11:30am at the church.
