Mr. Michael Emanuel Miller was born September 2, 1954 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to late Raymond and Francine Truesdale Miller. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools.

Mr. Miller was a retiree of the Winston-Salem Journal as well as the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools as a bus driver.

Spiritually, he was a member of Cathedral of Refuge church where he served as a deacon and sang on the choir.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Miller and sister, Patricia Simmons.

Mike loved the Lord, his family and his church family. He just loved life.

He departed this life Tuesday July 2, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

Mr. Miller leaves cherished memories to his wife Cheryl J.  Miller of the home; a son, Chris Miller of Washington DC; a stepson whom he raised, Hayward(Nekesha) Jones of Tulsa, OK; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Richard Miller of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters, Barbara Lash of Delaware, Marlene Howard of Lexington, NC and Frances (Terry ) Townsend of Winston-Salem, NC; one uncle, Jimmy(Beatrice) Truesdale of Winston-Salem, NC; one aunt, Carolyn Wiggins of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters-in-law, Jackie, Carolyn and Gail Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a devoted friend, Bud and his church family.

Funeral services will be held 11:30am Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Cathedral of Refuge Church, 534 Oak Summit Road Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-11:30am at the church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
