On January 12, 1957, God blessed the earth with the presence of Michael Wayne Scott. One of his greatest pleasures, was him serving as an adult class Sunday School teacher. He very much enjoyed teaching the Word of God, on that platform. Deacon Mike was a former singer with The Friends of Jesus and the lead singer of The Scott Brothers.

Deacon Mike was also a dedicated member of the Church of God in Jesus Christ Apostolic (COGIJCA). His service included, but was not limited to the Youth Convention Staff and the Financial Committee, until his health began to fail.
