She is survived by her children Steven Thompkins Jr. and Tara (Todd) Corley; two sisters, Nicola (Johnny) Bibb, Heather Fant, and a brother Theodore Fant, IV. She also leaves to cherish loving memories, one devoted granddaughter, Kekoa Thompkins, two dedicated cousins who were like siblings to her, Antonio (Angela) Crawford, and Jacklyn Crawford. and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother Theodore R. Fant, III and first cousin Alma Crawford Smith.

Normazer was a high school graduate of Atkins High School class of 1969. She then graduated from Winston Salem State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In addition, she earned a Master of Science degree in Student Personnel from N.C. Agriculture and Technical University in 1992. Normazer spent her years serving others from being the Pastor’s Aid president for numerous years, to being the Sunday School superintendent at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

She was a faithful member of Fresh Wind Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Speas prior to her illness.

We are indeed grateful to Hooper Funeral home, Liberty Hospice Care and to all for your empathy and care during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
