Mr. Onzalee Fitzgerald Hart, aka "Jabo" was born December 2, 1963 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Richard Chandler and Helen Hart. He was a graduate of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County school system. "Jabo" was a former  employee of Winston-Salem State University and an avid WSSU football fan.

Spiritually, he was a faithful member of First Waughtown Baptist Church. In the community he loved visiting the sick.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters; Varetta Oates, Brenda Hart and Saretta Evette Hart, and Athelia "Tweetie" Hawkins; and a niece Tonya Hart.

He departed this life Sunday July 13, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He leaves cherished memories to three brothers, Larry Alonzo Hart of Manhattan, NY, Dennis Hart of Winston-Salem, NC and Vernon Hart of Randleman, NC; six nieces, Pamela Williams, Jonetta Hawkins, Varetta Hawkins, Monica Hawkins Delisa Hart and Yuneka Lindsay; two nephews, Lafayette Baucom and Brent Morris; great nieces, Alexus Hawkins, Ashley Burns, Averi Montgomery, Alisha Swain and Raphalea Hawkins; great nephews, Jerod Williams, Kennard Williams, Darrell Hawkins, Deshaun Hart and a devoted great nephew, Mario Hawkins; other relatives and friends including a brother-in-law, Wayne Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm  Tuesday July 22, 2025 at First Waughtown Baptist. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be held at Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
