Reverend Lindsey Bruce Ford, Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, received his heavenly wings and entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 7, 2024. He was born to the late Minnie Beatrice Ford and late Starks Ford. He attended public schools in Robeson County, NC. He graduated from Shaw University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy. He completed the Clinical Pastoral Education through NC Baptist Hospital School of Pastoral Care.
Reverend Ford began his spiritual journey at Prince of Peace Baptist Church. He served in several ministries before accepting his call into the Gospel Ministry. He was licensed in 1983 to preach the Gospel under the leadership of Rev. Ray Watlington and Ordained in 1987 through the Rowan Baptist Association. He became the interim pastor at Prince of Peace Baptist Church for a period. He served as a Minister at Phillips Chapel Baptist Church. In July 1991, he accepted the call to pastor Beulah Baptist Church, Inc. where he pastored faithfully for thirty-three years.
Reverend Ford was associated with the General Baptist State Convention, National Baptist Convention, and the Minister's Conference of Winston-Salem and Vicinity. He founded and operated Children's Academy on Trade Daycare, Beyond the Walls Food Ministry, and Catering Kitchen, LLC.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Charles Shuler; sister, Annette Shuler; daughter, Audra Catina Ford.
Reverend Ford loved his family. He leaves behind his faithful and devoted wife of thirty-two years, Dr. Tanya Hairston Ford; children, Brandon W. Ford, Braxton D. Ford of Winston-Salem, and La Donda S. Johnson (Harold) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Au Dria C. Ford-Robinson, La Vette M. Johnson, Harold N. Johnson, Jr. Nupua S. Ford, and Napharoah J. Ford and a host of cousins, relatives, and close friends
A public viewing for Reverend Lindsey B. Ford will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Hooper Funeral Home from 11:00 am-5:00 pm. A public viewing and family visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, the Homegoing service will be held at 12:00 pm at Beulah Baptist Church, 1352 N. Trade Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
