Paulette Sanders was born September 15, 1962 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Mary Jane Surls and devoted fathers, Bennie Lee Swepson and Paul Durham, Sr. She worked independently as a domestic cleaning provider.

On January 11, 2024 she was unexpectedly called home from this earthly life.

Paulette was a passionate and nourishing caretaker and was affectionately known as "Ma P" or "Miss P". She opened her home to those in need. Her being the life and laughter of the party will truly be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Nashawn Sanders.

Left to cherish fond memories are her three daughters, Sherekia, Petreese, and Brittany Sanders; one son, Hervie Frasier, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, Tamijah Caldwell, Asia Johnson, Nazhaia Speas, Ali Benjamin, Jr., Alisya Benjamin, Gewel Bullard, Geahnna Bullard, Cassius Stover, Heaven Frasier, Rozay Stover, Ennies Duboise, Sane Sanders, and Melani Frasier; one great-grandson, Wise King; three sisters, Audrey Dixon, Sharon Cannon, and Jasmine Tucker; brother, Paul Durham; a devoted friend, Hervie Frasier, Sr.; her lifelong partner, Pete Carmichael; a host of nieces, nephews, and supportive friends including a dedicated cousin, Regina Washington.

The family will receive friends 1pm Thursday, Jan. 18th at New Hope Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 1:30pm.
