Paulette Laverne Stewart was born March 21, 1964, to the late Richard and Hazel Stewart. She was born in Danbury, NC but grew up in Winston-Salem, NC. Ms. Stewart departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 15, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Paulette attended the local public schools and graduated from South Park Highschool, Class of 1985. Ms. Stewart not only accomplished the goal of completing school; she also received her certification of the Pre-Work Adjustment Program from the Forsyth Industrial System. Paulette Stewart had the opportunity to be employed for 5 years at a local Hardees. Enjoying her family, attending church, dancing, and doing puzzles were some of her favorite things. Ms. Stewart was a member of Greater Grace Temple Holiness Church.

Paulette was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Stewart and mother, Hazel Juanita Stewart.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her sister, Sharon Robertson of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers James Stewart and Bernard Caldwell of Winston-Salem, NC; brother-in-law, Anthony Robertson of Greer, SC and aunts: Grace Poole and Emma Gray of Winston-Salem, NC; Lillie King of Walnut Cove, NC; uncle, Willie Mitchell (Elizabeth) of Walnut Cove; nieces: Jessica Cooper (Steve) of Winston-Salem, NC; Tashika Pope of Charlotte, NC; and Shawna Edmundson (Ronnie) of Charlotte, NC; great-nephew, Patrick Cooper of Winston-Salem, NC; great-nieces; Alexis Cooper of Winston-Salem, NC and Ariyah Edmundson of Charlotte, NC; special neighboring friend Debra Wallace and a host of other relatives and friends.

Paulette Stewart will also be remembered and truly missed by her extended church family, To God Be The Glory Ministry of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday January 26, 2023 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm at the funeral home Thursday. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens
