On Wednesday, the 22nd day of March 2023, a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend departed this life. Prince Pegeuese Jr was born October 30 1962 to Donoray and the late Prince Pegeuese Sr.
Prince was a graduate of Parkland High School and continued his education at Forsyth Technical Institute. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Charlotte NC. He was a private contractor who loved his business.
Prince also known as "Sonnyboy" was well-loved by all who knew him. Not only was he loved, but he showed the same love, kindness, and humbleness to others. He enjoyed maintaining his lawn, showing off his "Black Panther " Corvette, family gatherings and watching his sports. He was loved by many when he was growing up. He always got what he wanted by batting his pretty big eyes . If you wanted a good laugh and cry with jokes Prince Jr "Sonnyboy" was your man.
He was preceded in death by his father, Prince Pegeuese Sr., sister Donna Faith Pegeuese Selim; grandparents and many other relatives.
He leaves to cherish his legacy and memories his mother Donoray B. Pegeuese; wife Mary Collins Pegeuese; daughters Tayana "Nikki" Conrad and Destini Abraham;, stepson, Taz Conrad; sisters Burnadette, Priscilla "Scrappy" and Izella "Candy" Pegeuese; nieces Angelina Pegeuese, Dianna and Terriona Pegeuese; nephew Angelo Pegeuese Sr.; great nieces Madison and Amelia Pegeuese; great nephews Da'Shaun, Shamir , Sayvion Sims, Angelo Pegeuese Jr., aunts, Thelma B Hammond, Annie Ruth Pegeuese, Mary Lee Boyd, Mary Drumer; uncle Robert Boyd; great aunt, Dorothy Boyd; a host of cousins, loved ones and friends including childhood friends, Willard Edmonds, Daryl, Edward and Bernard Hairston, David Duncan, Rodney King, Ray Smith; special friends Elaine Conrad , Roosevelt Crumblin, Roshanda Hearts, and Donald Davis.
Family visitation will begin at 12:15 pm on Thursday March 30th 2023, with funeral services following at 1pm at Hooper Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. His remains may be viewed Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home.
