Ms. Reba Abbott Galloway was born June 25, 1927 to the late Wylis and Melvine Abbott in Walkertown, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Forsyth County. Spiritually, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving homemaker of five children.  Ms. Reba was a" Mother to All."

Reba married Russell Galloway who departed her life in 1994. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Galloway and Audrey Beasley; three sisters, Leona Croxton, Thelma Smith, Louise Douthit; five brothers, Willis Oliver, Glenn, Olin, Fletcher and Porter Abbott; and sister-in-law, Mary Abbott.

Ms. Galloway departed this life Friday July 7, 2023 at her residence.

She leaves to cherish loving memories a daughter, Katrinda Galloway Webster (Daniel); two sons, Willie Galloway and Clayton Galloway all of the city; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Douthit; one brother, Bobby Abbott(Barbara) two sisters-in-law, Faye Abbott and Deloris Abbott; son-in-law, Terry Beasley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday July 17, 2023 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm at the church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Her remains may be viewed Sunday July 16, 2023 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home
