Rebecca Ann Gwyn Porter, 79, was born on December 6, 1942 to the late Cornell Gwyn, Sr. and Viola Brown Gwyn.  She departed this life on February 6, 2022 at Silas Creek Manor.  She attended Carver School and retired from Bassick Sack Company.

"Beck" is survived by her siblings, Cornell Gwyn, Jr., William Franklin (Christine) Gwyn, Paul E. (Juanilla) Gwyn and Brenda Gwyn, all of Winston-Salem; foster brothers, Bernard Washington and Donald Moore; and a host of other family and friends.

Her remains may be viewed Monday, February 14, 2022 from 1pm-5pm at Hooper Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at 12:00 pm with family visitation at 11:30am at the funeral home.
