Obituary

Mrs. Rebecca Kiser Little, 99, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday February 18, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, steadfast faith, kindness, and deep devotion to her family.

Rebecca was born on June 8, 1926, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Julious and Minnie Carter Kiser. She spent most of her adult life in Pennsylvania with parents Minnie and Roy Ross and her sister Alva Kiser.  She married James Williams and from that union came the blessing of her beloved son,  Herman Williams, who she raised  while in Pennsylvania. Later in life, Rebecca returned to Winston Salem, and met and married Nathaniel Little, Sr., building a new chapter of her life together with him.

A woman of deep faith rooted in the Baptist tradition; Rebecca worshipped faithfully at Church of the First Born. She found
immense joy in being surrounded by family and cherished the love and care she received from her devoted granddaughter, Sherry
Lipscomb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Nathaniel Little Sr.; daughter Debra Simpson, son-in-law, Frankie Cutler, daughter in law, Beverly Little and many other loved ones.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Herman Williams, Linda Cutler, Sharon Johnson (Milton), Sandra Ballentine (Bruce), Nathaniel Little Jr., Charles Tyron Little (Andrea);  grandchildren, Renee Hopkins (Andre), Sherry Lipscomb, Shon Lipscomb (Lucretia), Tameka Littlejohn (Wesley), Bobby Moody, Travis Cutler, Erica Walker (Dia), Kyla Stimpson, Kimberly Little, Christopher Little, Teramus Little, Christina Thomas (Isaiah), Marvin Little, and Myles Little; along with 11 great-grandchildren; her niece Gloria Thrower, nephews Clark Kiser, Stevey Kiser, and Burnell McKenzie; son -in-law, Joe Simpson; sister-in-law Patricia Picart; a devoted second cousin Elsie Shelton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rebecca's memory will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was a source of love, kindness, and support to those she cared for. May her legacy of faith and love bring comfort to those she leaves behind. Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life well lived and a love that will never die.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Friday February 27, 2026 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
