Obituary

Mr. Richard Andrew Clement was born April 28, 1953 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Leander and Ollie Mae Hood Clement. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools and was a graduate of North Forsyth High School. By trade, Richard was a well known brick mason in the community. In his spare time he loved fishing and more than anything, he loved his family dearly! In addition to his family he would help anyone he met.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leander Clement, Jr. and Alvin Clement; a grandson, Frederick McClinton; and his former wife Cynthia Clement.

He departed this life Friday December 1, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Clement leaves cherished memories to his daughters, Latina (Clarence) McClinton York, Latrina McClinton, Lisa McClinton and their mother, Willa M. Clement; sons, Tremayne (Brianna) Clement and Torrus Jackson; fourteen grandchildren, Cierra York, Gregory (Destini) McClinton, Kierra (Ivan) Smith, Heavenly York, Justin Carter, Joshua Reid, Diamond York, Amare McClinton, Cameron Clement, Kynnedi York, Sire' and Nova Clement, Tori Jackson and Torrus Jackson Jr; two great grandchildren, Aiden McGill and Amais McClinton; four sisters, Francina (Reginald) Thomas, Ruth (Clifford) Pitts, Almazella Griffin, and Vanessa Brunt; one uncle, George (Alma) Clement; one sister-in-law, Sadie Clement; a cherished significant other, Tina Cash and her family; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with family visitation preceding at 11:30am.
