Mr. Richard Lee Osia Sr, was born December 27, 1943 in Winston-Salem, NC to Otto Crawford and Pearline Osia. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County  public schools. Spiritually,  he was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.

Mr. Osia was a retiree of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. He loved fishing and was fascinated with airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Mamie Osia, brother, Gene Arthur Osia and aunt, Elouise Leecost.  Mr. Osia departed this life Sunday September 27, 2020 at his residence.

He leaves fond and loving memories to his wife and devoted caregiver, Thelma Jones Osia of the home; son, Richard ( Tirhonda N. Lewis ) Osia, Jr.; daughter, Shantara Terry all of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren; sisters-in law, Mary(Julius) Phillips of Winston-Salem, NC,  Betty Jones and Louella Nimrod both of Houston, TX; two brothers-in-law, Allan Jones and John Willie Jones both of Winston-Salem, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including dear cousins Sherice Stafford and John Leecost; other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be held.
