Mr. Ricky Alphonso Davis, born June 10, 1956 in Winston-Salem, NC and was raised by a loving family.  He gained his wings on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 8:30 A.M.

He received his formal education in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools and graduated from East Forsyth High School.  He furthered his education at North Carolina A&T State University.

Ricky was loved by everyone that he came in contact with.  He had a loving heart with a beautiful soul.  He enjoyed watching football and going out to eat every Sunday with his brother, Charles. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Ricky will truly be missed, never forgotten and will always have a special place in everyone's heart.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Davis and father, Benjamin Davis; sister, Lacy Shanks; brother, Charles Davis; niece, Christina Davis; three nephews, Rufus and Robert Shanks and Rodney Boyd.

Ricky leaves to cherish dear memories his daughter, Rochelle Mitchell; son, Ricky Morgan; grandson, Darius Mebane; granddaughter, Laila Morgan-Jones; sister, Sharon (Clint) Davis; 2 nephews, Brian Shanks and Arthur (Michelle) Shanks; great nephews, JaJuan, Gregg, Qwanelle, Darius(Brooke), Rufus, Patrick, Carlos, Jamir, Javon, and Mike; four great nieces, Shameria, Tamela, Roqueeta(Dominque), and Rose; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Ricky Alphonso Davis will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday November 1, 2025 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm-1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
