Obituary

Mr. Robert Lee Jackson was born July 12, 1946 in Elkton, Virginia to the late Walter Charles and Ruth Ann Bryant Jackson. He lived in Winston-Salem NC most of his life where he attended the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools. He later attended Forsyth Technical Community College.

Mr. Jackson was employed by R.J Reynolds Tobacco Company and was a lead machinist while there. He later moved to Westinghouse Company and after 30 plus years of services he retired. While there he received recognition as being a member of the companies' United Way campaign.

Spiritually,he was a devoted member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the lead deacon.

In his spare time he loved playing golf and working at his church. Deacon Jackson loved his church family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, James Jackson, Rosetta Pauling, Edna Pauling and Charles Jackson. He departed this life Tuesday May 2, 2023 at Brookridge Retirement Community.

Mr. Jackson is survived by two brothers, John Jackson of St. Louis, MO and Benjamin (Gale) Jackson of the city; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including his church family.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Tuesday May 9, 2023 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. The family will received friends from 12pm-12:30pm at the church. lnterment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens
