Mr. Robert Eddie Myers, aka, "Boodie" was born October 29, 1955 in Bridgeport CT to Jacqueline Tucker Myers and the late Robert Lee Myers. He was a 1975 graduate of North Forsyth High School.

Mr. Myers was an avid football fan of the Chicago Bears. In his spare time he was a devoted member of the Carolina Cruisers Motorcycle Club.

He was employed by Winston-Salem State University and formerly employed at WS Housing Authority, Village Apartments and Alaris.

Boodie departed this life Monday January 20, 2025 at his residence.

He leaves cherished memories to his devoted and loving wife of 31 years, Lisa Neal Myers of the home; four children, Bryant Lamont Gwynn, Dedrick Tyrone Neal, Brandon Moore and Bradley Moore; grandchildren, LaShyia Mankins, LaTricha Mankins, LaCresha Mankins; four great grandchildren, Br'Hyce, Mi'Lahnii"(Tug)", MiLeha and MiKahla; his mother, Jacqueline T. Myers of Philadelphia, PA; eight siblings, Jacqueline Myers of Bridgeport, CT, Stephanie B. Myers, Horace C.(Audrey) Myers, Adrien L. Myers all of Winston-Salem, NC, Gail Myers, Grover Washington, Pamela (Robert) Murray and Renee Washington all of Philadelphia, PA; aunts, Betty (Frank) Brooks and Barbara (Robert) Smith; of Rochester, NY, uncle, Lawrence C. Rucker of Winston-Salem, Sister-In-Law, Jackie (John) Posey and Brother-In-Law, Edward Williamson of Winston Salem NC; devoted and caring cousin, Walter (Marlene) Henderson; devoted friends to the end, Kenny Burton (Twin), Linwood Jackson (Jug), William Shore (Tick); Mrs. Shirley Eaton; James (Pokie) Bray, Robert Rousseau, Phillip Ramsey, Lee Kimbrough, Wilbur Mouzon, Michael Epps Bernard Kendall (Garfield), Charles (Chuck) Fariss,Joe Striblin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday February 1, 2025 at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1016 Trade St. Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11am-12pm at the church on Saturday February 1, 2025. His remains may be viewed Friday January 31, 2025 from 12pm-5pm at the funeral home
