Robert Smart son of the late Willie Woodrow and Isabella Smart  was born March 25, 1946 in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this life Friday February 18, 2022 at his home.

Robert served as a Jehovah's Witness. He was employed by the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools as the Lead custodian at Reynolds High School for 20 years.

Robert leaves to cherish loving memories his wife Jannette Smart; two sons, Donald Smart and Dewitt Smart; two sisters, Lillie (Lorenzo) Martin and Gwendolyn (William) Farmer; one brother, Willie Smart; four grandchildren; a host great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alice Chestnut and Mary Agnes Chestnut both of Trenton, NJ, Mary Frances Gore and Mary Ann Johnson both of New York, NY, Dianne Richardson of Miami, FL; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Friday February 25, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
