Mrs. Rochelle Cooper Pinson was born August 26, 1925 in Kingstree, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Lena Jeannette McFadden Cooper and James Wade Hampton Cooper. She departed this life peacefully May 29, 2022.
Mrs. Pinson became a resident of Winston Salem, North Carolina and began her family and life's devotion to selfless service at Forsyth Hospital for over 30 years until retirement. Post retirement she continued her service to others as a CNA and caregiver to youth and senior citizens.
Rochelle was active in her community as a member of the Winston Salem Elks Lodge Chapter, and she remained a devoted member of Goler Metropolitan AME Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold A. Pinson Sr, daughter Michelle Ingrid Pinson and son Harold A. Pinson Jr.
Remaining to celebrate her life and memory are her Grandchildren ; Master Sergeant Harold N. Johnson (La Donda) of Virginia Beach, VA, Alphonza D. Cremedy (Tiffani Cash) and Anthony A. Pinson of Winston-Salem, NC. Great-grandchildren; Au Dria Ford, La Vette and Harold Johnson Jr of Virginia Beach, VA, Ariyah and Aiden Cremedy of Winston-Salem, NC and Greyson Winston of Raleigh, NC. A loving daughter-in-law, Sabrina Pinson of Winston-Salem ,NC, a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and long time family friend Linda Boyd of Winston-Salem, NC.
Mrs. Pinson was dedicated to family and loved ones throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and attending family gatherings. The family wishes to thank Goler Metropolitan AME Church, Whitney Shore and the staff of Tranquility Care , Hooper Funeral Home and everyone who extended their prayers and acts of kindness.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday June 3, 2022 at Goler Metropolitan AME Church . The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00 pm at the church. Her remains be may be viewed Thursday June 2, 2022 from 12pm-6:00 pm at Hooper Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net.
