Mr. Rodney Dorian Boyd was born December 12, 1970 to Charles Davis and Nancy Boyd in Winston-Salem, NC.

He was a 1989 graduate of Mount Tabor High School and later received Associate's degrees from Forsyth Technical Community College and Rowan Community College.

Rodney had resided in Salisbury North Carolina for the past 10 years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and North Carolina Tarheels fan. He loved to cook, music, and just being with his family.

Preceding him in death was his father, Charles Davis. Mr. Boyd departed this life Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Surviving are his mother Nancy Boyd(Vernon) Reid of Winston-Salem, NC; a daughter, Terrae Belin of Fayetteville, NC; his canine son, Rahlow; three sisters, Sandra (Gerald) Anderson, Jacqueline (Melvin) Sturdivent and Margaret Rose Davis; three aunts; one uncle; one nephew, Maurice (Kim) Boyd; two nieces, Ashley (Dominic) Hodges and Melana Sturdivent; one great nephew, Xander Sturdivent; a devoted friend, Anna McTeer. A host of other relatives and friends including devoted cousins, Jimmy (Shirley) Boyd, David Boyd, and Shantele Boyd Williams.

The family will receive friends 12:30pm Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Hooper Funeral Home chapel with the funeral service following at 1pm.
