Obituary

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.    Romans 8:18

On July 14, 2023, at 9:30 PM, Mr. Ronald C. Jackson was ushered into the arms of our Lord and Savior at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 13, 1950, to the late Odell Jackson and Mary Louise Watson Jackson Dominick in Winston-Salem, NC.

Mr. Jackson was a product of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. He was a graduate of Atkins High School where he participated in many extra-curricular activities. He received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University. He was employed by Forsyth Municipal ABC Board for almost 30 years.

Mr. Jackson was a long-time disciple of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the Security, Photography and Men's Ministries. He was always willing to help wherever he was needed. He was loved by many in the community for his quiet strength and dedication. He was open and honest, if you didn't want the truth, it was best that you not ask. He would always tell you the truth.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Priscilla Jackson, his son Christopher Jackson (Armelia) of Mebane, NC, and his daughter, Khari Jackson of Richmond, VA.; his grandson, Christopher Davis Jackson; brother, Donald Jackson (Laurette) of Stone Mountain, GA.; 2 sisters-in-law, Ollie M. Salley and Betty M. Woods (Edward). He was uncle/father to 3 nieces, Benita Woods, Edwina Terry (Richard) and Shari Miles. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of the life of Ronald C. Jackson  will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday July 22, 2023 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-12:00pm Saturday at the church. His remains may be viewed Friday July 21, 2023 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.      Revelation 21:4
