Ms. Ruby Mae Murray Byrd White was born January 28, 1935 in Mullins, South Carolina to the late Robert and Maybell Murray Sr.  She attended the public schools there before moving to Winston-Salem, NC.

Ms. White loved baking and cooking and retired from K&W Cafeterias after 15 years of service. In her spare time, she also loved flowers and working in her flower bed. Ms. White will be missed by her family whom she loved dearly.

Spiritually, she was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the culinary committee and sang with the Gospel and Mass Choirs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Murray; two sons, Michael Lee Murray and Terry Lee Murray. She departed this life Thursday December 22, 2022 at her residences.

Those left to cherish dear memories are her four children, MonaLisa Byrd, Tyrone (Michelle) Byrd, Delray Byrd, and Lugenia Byrd, all of Winston-Salem, NC; ten grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her church family.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday December 30, 2022 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church with family visitation preceding at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow services in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown.
