Samuel Climons Branch, Sr., affectionately known to his family and friends as Clim was born to the late Joe Carter and Elsie D. Branch on December 27, 1946 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He departed from earth surrounded by his family on September 27, 2024. He was educated in the Northampton County School System where he graduated from high school.
Clim was a general contractor who helped anyone that he could. Known for his keen eye for detail and unwavering work ethic, Clim had built a reputation in his community as the go-to person for any construction or renovation project. Whether it was a simple home repair or a complex commercial build, Clim approached each job with the same level of dedication and expertise.
His generosity extended beyond his professional life; Clim often volunteered his skills to assist those in need. He believed in giving back to the community that had supported him throughout his career. Clim's kindness and craftsmanship left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with, solidifying his legacy as not just a skilled contractor, but a trusted friend and neighbor.
He was the glue that held his family together. He never told a bad joke. He always had a very soft-spoken with very patient demeanor, making everyone feel at ease in his presence. His wisdom and calm approach to life were like a guiding light, helping his loved ones navigate through challenges with grace and resilience. Whether it was offering a listening ear or providing thoughtful advice, he was the cornerstone of support and love that kept the family united.
Sam, Sr. is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Virginia Newsome, and devoted aunts, Vera Walters and Pearl McIntosh.
He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Samuel (Shanta) Branch, Junior, Porsha (Amanda) Booker; Teresa Walls, and Stephanie Booker; grandchildren, Shantise Jones, Chris Walls, Crishana Walls, Jalen, Riah, and Bryson, Nuri Booker, and Frances Thompson; great grandchildren, DeShaun Jones, Derrick Wardlow, Jr. and Dasya Thompson and great great grandchild Aviana Wardlow, devoted, siblings, Collin branch, Joe branch, Melvin Branch, Lila Anderson, Nette Branch, and Joyce Dickerson; uncle, Willie Gary Carter; best friend of over 50 years, Arthur Reader; special friends, Cherry Booker and Devora Green; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friend s.
A Service of Memory will be held 12:30pm Saturday October 5, 2024 at Calvary Hill Church of Greater Deliverance. The family will receive friends from 12pm-12:30pm at the church Saturday.
