Sarah Frances Oglesby was born on January 12, 1952 to the late Renner Oglesby Morris and John T. Oglesby and transitioned to her heavenly home on May 30, 2021 after a brief period of illness. She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, graduating from Atkins High School.

Sarah accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and originally was a member of the Mt. Calvary Holiness Church until joining the Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with her family. She could constantly be heard singing tenor on the D.S. Stowe Celestial Choir for many years. She possessed an infectious smile that lightened everyone's heart. Presently she was a faithful member of the Mt. Glory Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her twin Sisters, Marilyn White and Marion Oglesby, Brother, William Oglesby, transcended siblings, Claude, Pearl, James, Horace and Alice Jean.

Left to cherish her memories are one Son: Charles Anthony (Sharon) Oglesby, Two Brothers, Leonard Oglesby (Magalene) of the city, Pastor Leon Oglesby (Wanda) of the city, Six Sisters: Mary Moore of the city, Diane Stowe (Bishop Johny R Stowe) of the city, Dona Stanback of Moncks Corner SC, Lois John of Seneca SC, Harriet Stelle of Warner Robbins, GA, Edna Reid of Seneca SC, One Uncle, Ansel Oglesby of Fairplay, SC, One Aunt Edna Mae Oglesby of Fairplay SC, A beloved grandson John Walter Morrison, one great-grand daughter, Tiyonna Nicole Davis-Bailey, a devoted niece, Latasha Renee' Oglesby of the city, A precious great-grand niece, Aailyah Reynolds, A host of god-children, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A public viewing will be held Thursday June 10, 2021 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:30am  Friday June 11, 2021 at Second Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11-11:30am at the church. Interment: Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC.
