Sharon Denise Miller, 66, passed away on May 16, 2023, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 22, 1956, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Willis and Mentoria Miller. She attended Parkland High School and later pursued higher education at Forsyth Tech Community College.

Sharon was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church until she relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where she was employed with AT&T as a Wire Technician for many years until her health problems forced her to return to Winston-Salem, NC to be with her family as her health continued to decline. She was an intelligent and hardworking woman who excelled in her career at AT&T. Her dedication and commitment to her work were evident to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thaddeus Fisher, Michael Miller, and sister, Brenda Miller-Hairston.

Sharon is survived by her son, Monta Miller; daughter, Monica Miller; loving grandchildren, Shatoria Miller, Micah Miller, Taron Sockwell, Jalen Davenport-Harris, Quaran Miller; great-grandson, Zacari Jones; three brothers, Willis B. Miller (Karen), Robert D. Miller (Glenda), Darryl E. Miller (Tammy); special friends Octavia Lewis and Monta Girlfriend Krisha Brown, who watched her during her difficult time; devoted cousins Gwendolyn Byers and Aretha Byers-Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:30 pm Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Hooper Funeral Home, located at 1415 14th Street NE Winston-Salem, NC 27105.The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-12:30pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Her remains may be viewed Friday May 26, 2023 between the hours of 12pm-6pm at the funeral home.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and her memory will live on in their hearts forever.
