Ms. Symba Beray Smith was born August 27, 1992 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Neffertiti Sudan. She was a 2010 graduate of Myers Park High School Charlotte, NC and later attended and graduated from  Central Piedmont Community College. Symba was a genius in IT and loved computers and all areas of technology. She was a free spirit and was loved by all. Symba also loved working in cosmetology.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Patricia Smith Griffith; grandfather, George Howell; great grandmother, Wilhelmina Bowling; and great aunt, Queen Cooper.

Symba departed this life October 7, 2020.

She is survived by her mother Neffertiti Sudan of the home; two sisters, Amber (Timothy Jr.) Shields of Winston-Salem, NC, Niah Smith of Charlotte, NC;  two nieces, Kendall Shields and Khera Shields; a devoted cousin, Shareesha Fulton; a host of other relatives and friends.

A special thanks to our musician Malik Stowe; the hospitality committee of April, Mozella, and Veda, Pastor Donald Stowe Jr. of Second Calvary Baptist Church, and the staff of Hooper Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the Hooper Funeral Home chapel.
