Miss Ta'Kiela MoniQue Washington was called unexpectedly to her heavenly home on Friday, November 1, 2019. Ta'Kiela Monique Washington was born November 6, 1979 to James and Debra Washington in Winston-Salem, NC. She attended Glenn High School and graduated in 1998. Soon after graduating high school, Ta'Kiela's passion for children lead her to further her education in early childhood while working at Baldwin's Loving Preschool. After years of service at Baldwin's Loving Preschool, Ta'Kiela moved on to A Child's World Learning Center where she eventually became the Assistant Manager. Although Ta'Kiela's love for children never left, she ventured into the world of Adult Personal Care as a Personal Care Assistant. She explored various assistant living facilities perfecting her craft with an eagerness to learn more. That eagerness landed her in the mist of her last career as a Med Tech at Salem Terrace Assistant Living.

Ta'Kiela leaves to cherish her memory her mother Debra Washington, seven siblings Anthony Baldwin (Latandra), Anthony Harris (Nakia), Dwayne (Shara) Nichols, Omar (Tarsha) Nichols, Natasha Washington (Tony), LaShawnda Washington (Quentin), and Kenneth Frey, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Ta'Kiela will always be remembered for her dependability and protectiveness. Her loving, funny, giving and nurturing spirit has left an everlasting impression on many hearts. Ta'Kiela's dedication to her friends and family will always remain a joyful memory.

Family visitation will be held 11 am Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Middle Fork Christian Church, 2216 E. 1st St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with funeral services following at 11:30 am.
