Tawana Jean Morrison affectionately known as Ms. Tee of 508 N. Jackson Avenue departed this life on October 2, 2022 surrounded by her family .She w as born August 24, 1964 to Cleaster Jean Morrison and Andrew (Jarrett)Anthony in Winston-Salem, NC.

She attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth C ounty School system. She was   previously employed by Johnson c. Smith University.

Tawana enjoyed the simple pleasurers in life such as spending time with her children, grandchildren, shopping and cooking.  She had a positive outlook on life and a often the life of the party. She had a smile that could light up an room .

She was preceded in death by her mother Cleaster Jean Morrison . She is survived by her father Andre w (Jarrett )A nthony and wife Sylvia; Three sons, Kenta Morrison, Marcus Morrison, and Maurice; two daughters, Alicia Morrison and Princess Morrison; Eight grandchildren: Three great grandchildren ; One brother Norman Morr ison of Fay etteville, NC; S he had a life long friend Tammy Marshall Purvis. She also had a devoted cousin Mable Le-Grande and a host of other relat i ves and friends.,

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Saturday October 15, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-12:30 pm at the funeral home on Saturday. Her remains may be viewed Friday from 1:00pm-6:00 pm at the funeral home.
