Obituary

Terri Dawn Boston declared victory over breast cancer and transitioned into life-everlasting on Monday, October 10, 2022.  Terri, aged 54, was born November 9, 1967, in Winston-Salem, NC to John Henry and Mary Spencer.

Terri had a passion for life and was known as the 'life of the party', who lived each God given day to the fullest.  Terri's life mission was to be a vessel of unconditional love, forgiveness, kindness, and humility.  Terri took great pride in instilling these values into her four children- whom are the light of her life.  Terri was a strong black woman who kept God first, family second, while loving all others as she loved herself.

Terri was multifaceted and had many natural talents… which included being a life-long hairstylist.

Terri's hairstyling techniques magically transformed short into long, long into short, kinky into straight and unkempt into kempt.  Those who sat in Terri's stylist chair were always entertained by her great sense of humor and infectious laugh.  Terri had the ability to see 'things' as they were- while finding amusement in it all…good, bad, or indifferent.  As a result, Terri's life-light always attracted a large following that she maintained throughout her life.

Terri is the 10th of 12 children and was preceded in life-everlasting by her parents John Henry and Mary Spencer, three big brothers: Hildred "Lee" Boston, Timothy "Bo Dean" Boston, and Reginald "Red" Boston Sr., a beloved niece, Angela "Angie" Jeter, and two angels grandbabies, Jaide and "Noodle".

Terri continues to live through her four children, Alesha Boston, Devin Foskey, Azhane' Dunwood, and Darihen Boston and her grandbaby, A'zya Boston.

Terri also leaves cherished memories with her siblings: John Caesar, Cynthia (Alphonso) Jeter, Mattie Boston, Curjire(Wayne) Vailes, Auturo Caesar, Kerstine (Richard) Davis, Jackie Miller, Johnny (Veronica) Boston, Victor Boston Sr.,  Larry Boston, and Bridgette Boston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Terri's life message was to joyfully be kind, support, uplift and cherish one another.  She always encouraged us to be cheerful, forgive but don't forget, enjoy life and the journey thereof; but most importantly, love one another- no matter what.

A Celebration of her life will be held 12:00pm Wednesday October 19, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-12:00 pm Wednesday at the church.
