Mr. Terry Wayne Orr, a native of Winston-Salem NC, was born April 28, 1947 to Leroy Tompkins and Blanche Jones Eldridge. He was a retiree of the City of Winston-Salem with over 30 years of service as a supervisor in the maintenance department tire shop. Mr. Orr was the owner/operator of Orr Lawn Care. He also held the position of supervisor at Budd Services for over 20 years.

Spiritually, Mr. Orr was a faithful member of Calvary Hill Church of Greater Deliverance where he served as chairman of the finance committee.

He was an avid bowler and member of Camel City Bowling League.

Mr. Orr was preceded in death by brothers: Thomas Orr, Richard  Lee Orr, Early Eldridge Jr., and Kenny Eldridge; and a sister, Phyllis Rhymer. Mr. Orr departed this life Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

He survived by his wife of the home, Tammy Orr; nine children, Tanya (Bryant) Lyon, Terri (Murray) Miller, Robert Brannon, Terry Washington, Christopher Smalls, Sheri Dodd, Rico Dodd, Jamie Dodd, and Jerriod Orr, all of Winston-Salem, NC; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; six sisters Alice Faye (Edward) Garrett of Fountain Inn, SC, Wanda Moore, Annette Jennings, Penny Eldridge, Lanita Wofford and Marguerita Eldridge all of Winston-Salem; one uncle, Jesse (Mary) Jones Jr. of Walkertown, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held Friday December 11, 2020 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. Online services may be streamed at https:\\facebookcalvaryhill\cogd.com Saturday at 12 noon.
