Ulah Mae Robinson Marshall, age 87, peacefully departed this life on April 24, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 26, 1938, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Benjamin and Itess Robinson.
Ulah Mae received her education in the public schools of Wadesboro, North Carolina. She later became a dedicated employee of Troy Memorial Hospital, where she faithfully served her community. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted and faithful member of Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Marshall was known for her loving and generous spirit. She found great joy in feeding others and caring for those in her community. She cherished her neighbors and never met a stranger, always welcoming conversation and companionship. In her leisure time, she enjoyed fishing, which brought her peace and happiness.
She was united in holy matrimony to her husband, Robert James Marshall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, her beloved daughter, Bertha Lee Marshall, and three grandchildren, Antoine Marshall, Orlando Marshall, and Tonray Richardson.
Ulah Mae leaves cherished loving memories to her nine children, Mavis Marshall; Judy Marshall (Tony); Deloris Marshall (James Ford); Robert Marshall, Jr. (Angela); Doris Marshall; Timothy Marshall; Carl Marshall; Maurice Marshall (Frenchie); and Patrice Marshall; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida Mae Caraway; three devoted friends, Ms. Valerie Cook, Ms. Dorothy Brown, and Ms. Joyce Watkins; her goddaughter, Alisha; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Ms. Marshall will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of many.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday May 2, 2026 at Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm Saturday at the church. Her remains may be viewed Friday May 1, 2026 from 12pm-5pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Monday May 4, 2026 at Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
